That means there will be a few more than with the standard selling emails, but only at certain times.

Informational articles are the kind where you’re going to talk about things in your industry or different things about your business but not specifically about the products or services that you’re offering. This is where you’ll include some of your blog articles and this is where you should be spending the bulk of your time and your email marketing. This is what you really want to be passing on to people because this is the stuff that they really want to know and the reason they’re going to stay on your email list. If you’re giving them information all the time they’re going to be more likely to want to stick around.
Follow-up emails are another one that you can absolutely send out and these are great for people who have made a purchase or who may have gotten partway through your process but didn’t complete a purchase. It’s also good for anyone who contacted you to ask a question. You want to follow-up and take another chance at getting them the answers they’re looking for, finding out what they think of the product or getting them to make a purchase. These emails should only go out if the customer needs a follow-up for any reason.
With any of these types of emails you want to make sure that the point is clear and that people are interested in enough to click through.
