Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented Python Web Developer to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and creative problem-solving abilities. This role offers a balanced mix of hands-on development and collaborative teamwork.
Role Distribution
- 75% Backend web development
- 25% Frontend web development
- 50% Individual contribution
- 50% Team collaboration
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python
- Build new and improve existing web product functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and web services
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Contribute to technical architecture decisions
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues
- Document technical specifications and processes
Required Technical Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional Python web development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, Pyramid, or Sanic)
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and implementing websockets
- Proficiency with React and modern frontend development practices
- Working knowledge of additional OOP languages (Ruby, PHP, Java, or C#)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Understanding of automation principles and practices
