Front End Web Developer

SEO Design Chicago has an immediate need for a Front End Web Developer to join their team. This person will ideally have a strong creative mind and excellent communication skills.This role involves the development of Custom WordPress themes from scratch to help aide in client projects both big and small. This person will work directly with clients and colleagues to help bring creative ideas to life. We offer a fun and flexible work environment.

The Front End Web Developer in this position needs to be able to work with many different kinds of people and be able to adapt to a variety of situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPERIENCE:  

  • Build new and improve existing Web product functionality
  • Proven work experience as a Front-end developer
  • Hands on experience with markup languages
  • Familiarity with cross-browser, cross-platform testing and debugging
  • Work directly with our design team to deliver high-quality, polished UI
  • Contribute towards architectural improvements
  • Keep pace with new developments and technologies in the JavaScript ecosystem
  • Engage with designers and other engineers to ensure a unified product experience
  • Develop, implement, and operate testing processes that ensure consistent quality
  • Monitor, triage, and respond to production bug reports and customer issues
  • Understanding of basic SEO Principles

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • In-depth knowledge of modern JavaScript application development, CSS and jQuery
  • Prior experience building and maintaining React web apps with rich user interfaces 
  • Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and client libraries preferred 
  • Additional experience with Node.js development a plus 
  • Structured, organized thinker that is both attentive to detail and mindful of the big picture 
  • Basic knowledge of and interest in investing and personal finance
