Managing Editor

We’re looking for a talented Managing Editor to lead our Content Department and oversee a variety of different types of writing across multiple platforms. You will be reporting to the Chief Content Officer and will supervise our department of editors and writers.

Responsibilities / Experience:
Train, manage, and provide feedback to our team of editors, writers, and interns
Collaborate with our Chief Content Officer to determine issues, content, and topics
Coordinate meetings
Plan and approve assignments for writers and editors
Control schedules and enforce deadlines
Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary
Assist in evaluating finalized copy for compliance with policies, style, and tone
Post articles across a variety of platforms using guest post software
Create articles, social media content, longform content, and rewrites as necessary
Contribute to an ongoing conversation of improving and upgrading our systems and processes
Host regular meetings with vendors
